Our five golden rules

What Guides Us

At Lignarolo, our work is guided by five simple principles that shape the way we craft our shoes, treat our customers, and build our brand.

1. Treat your customers

how you would like to be treated.

We've all been on the receiving end of bad customer service. We haven't forgotten what that feels like.

If you have a question, a real person answers not a bot, not a template. If something goes wrong with your order, we fix it. No hoops to jump through, no waiting in line. We want buying a shoe to feel the way it should: simple, clear, and taken care of. That's not a policy. It's just how we'd want to be treated if the roles were reversed.

2. Shopping should be

an enjoyable experience

We take the shoes seriously. We don't take ourselves too seriously.

We obsess over leather, over construction, over the details most people never notice. But we also want the whole experience to feel easy and honestly, a bit fun. Browse without pressure. Ask us anything. Try the size you're unsure about. We're here to help you find the right shoe, not to make you feel like you need to earn it. Quality doesn't have to be intimidating.

3. Made by hand,

by people who love what they do.

Our shoes are made in a small artisan workshop where shoemaking traditions have been passed down for generations. Every pair is carefully crafted by skilled hands we know personally.

We believe true craftsmanship should be shared, which is why we train new artisans to preserve these techniques and keep the tradition alive.

To us, the connection to the people and the process is everything.

4. Create a positive

work environment for everyone.

Happy people make better shoes. It's that simple.

A relaxed team thinks more clearly, cares more, and does better work. We're a family of Colombian-Italians who got into this because we genuinely love what we do and we try to keep that energy alive every day. You'll often find us playing chess at lunch, arguing about leather colours, or laughing at something that has nothing to do with shoes. We think that matters more than most spreadsheets.

5.Leave the office and

stay close to the craft

We'd rather be at the workshop than behind a screen.

We know the names of the people who make our shoes. We check the stitching, feel the leather, and understand every step of the process  not because we have to, but because that's why we started this in the first place. Numbers are important, sure. But they're not the reason we get out of bed. People and craft are. We never want to forget that.
