THE LAST GUIDE
The last is a shoemaker’s foundation, and can be thought of as their most closely guarded secret. With heritage and experience paving the way for excellent last development, At Lignarolo we are continually striving to design lasts with the best possible fitting qualities.
It has been said that the last is the heart of a shoe; a fundamental requirement of shoemaking, the development of which cannot be compromised. A last must carry all of the aesthetics and fitting qualities a shoemaker needs from the outset. The initial phase of last making and test fitting can be a lengthy process, because it demands the develop of many samples and adjustments that is reflect in our shoes. The process is overseen by the current Managing Director, Giorgio Lignarolo.

The results is a last with individual character, perfect to our first collection. A Classic Italian round toe that flows effortlessly through the joint and into the waist and heel section. Last 657 will invariably become a staple of the Collections of Lignarolo in years to come.
